  • Origin - Created from the Dark Faverolles by Jean-Claude Périquet of Gincrey, in Meuse.
  • Eggs for brooding - 55 grams, shells having a light tint.
  • diameter of rings . Cock : 24 mm., hen : 22 mm.
  • Mass - Cock : 3.4 to 4.8 kg , hen : 2.4 to 3.4 kg

  • B. Type and objective : A good size fowl, robust, jaunty and with no heaviness ; differentiated from the Dark Faverolles by the absence of beard and sideburns, well developed beardlets

  • Body : Of average length
  • Neck : Of average length ; abundant neck and chest plumage
  • Back : Long wide and flat, almost horizontal ; abundant lancets
  • Chest : Deep, rounded.
  • Abdomen : Well developed.
  • Wings : Carried horizontally and very close to the body.
  • Tail : Sickle feathers of average length.
  • Head : Small in proportion to the size of the bird.
  • Comb : Simple, average size, regular, 4 or 5 teeth, red .
  • Beardlets : Of average length, red
  • Ears : Red
  • Face : Lightly feathered, red.
  • Eyes : Orangy-yellow iris.
  • Beak : Clear horn color.
  • Legs : Strong.
  • Tarsus : Average length, clear, lightly feathered to the oustside - 5 toes, ligthly feathered to the outside, good separation of 4th and 5th toes.
    HEN
  • Looks like the cock barring sexual differences. The iris of the eye is clearer. Abundant and supple plumage. Neck feathers should not exhibit any curling , however, a slight curling is not to be considered as a defect.

  • D. Plumage colors
  • Dark salmon variety
  • The color is that of the Dark Salmon Faverolles. The cock's neck feathers do not have dark spots, but the under-layer of the neck feathers can have brown specks which are not visible from the exterior.
  • Serious coloring defects :
  • Cock : Spotted chest, back and shoulders with too much cream, no reflections.
  • Hen : Spotted chest, traces of black in the neck feathers, edgings not visible enough, wing covers too clear.

  • E. Disqualifying defects
  • Too slender ; concave, or, carp back ; tail too high ; comb too large or leaning ; cuffs ; 4th and 5th fingers deformed or joined ; divided nails ; sixth finger bud. Cock weighing less than 3 kg ; hen less than 2kg.
